Cassie works with watercolour as an illustrator, designer, artist and tutor. A focus on history of place, heritage collections and stories of people’s past, is informed by an MA in historical illustration and her career working in museums.
As an active watercolour and drawing tutor Cassie is also passionate about supporting mental health and wellbeing through creative workshops; often in museums, galleries or libraries. There she encourages people to explore, express and illustrate their own stories or histories.
Sketch journalling with a miniature watercolour palette on travels, at heritage sites, in a city or nature, in a café, or just at home and in the garden has always been essential as regular creative and mindful practice. Watercolour artwork is often integrated with graphite, collage, stitch and paper folding.
Cassie has exhibited artworks at Norwich Museum and Art Gallery, Bankside Gallery in London, the Royal Academy of Arts in the Summer Exhibition and other galleries.
