David Millard discovered his passion for art in his 30s when he began taking watercolour classes with professional artist Alan Oliver.
For several years he supplemented his income as a freelance draughtsman by teaching watercolour painting and exhibiting his work in various Leicestershire galleries. David also ran painting courses at a windmill in his home village of Wymondham. eventually he chose to focus exclusively on his career as a draughtsmen, setting aside his artistic pursuits.
In 2009, David retired and moved to Sheringham, which reignited his love for painting. Inspired by the picturesque countryside and coast line of East Anglia he revived his old skills and embraced new techniques. You can explore a selection of his work on Instagram @davidmillardart
