Carol Whitehouse

Growing up in the countryside, flowers and plants have always been a part of Carol’s life so it is only natural that they should become her painting partner.  Carol’s first attempt at watercolour was a flower painting workshop, where she found the medium so exciting to work with, that she set out to develop her paintings to interpret the flowers in a semi-abstract style.

Carol loves bright, bold colours and enjoys letting the loose “undercoat” form the shapes and marks of the completed painting.

Although flowers will always feature in Carol’s work, she has recently found a new interest in painting animals.
