TIPS – Sketchbook tips from Linda Purdy
Workshops and Tutorials

- Carry a sketchbook and mini kit everywhere and you will never have any wasted minutes again.
- Keep a sketchbook journal of your travels and holidays with dates and details noted alongside. There’s no better way to store those memories.
- The best brush in my collection is: (and why) No. 8 Kolinsky Round. It holds plenty of paint and has a fantastic point for detail.
- My favourite place to paint is: Anywhere outside…..whatever the weather ! You really can’t beat it and will always remember exactly where you were, what the weather was like, who you spoke to……
- What advice would you give someone who wants to start painting en plein air (or wants to improve their plein air painting). Just do it ! If you’re nervous, find a friend to go with and get out there. You’ll never look back.
