Perched on the edge
Winner of the Tindalls Rosebowl Award trophy and prize.
A fantasy piece. The ‘rock’ was inspired by a sliver of wood in our woodpile which looked like a town had been thrust into the clouds on a rocky outcrop. During the lockdown, our family have been giving each other weekly themes to help keep our brains active, and this particular week’s theme was Perimeter. I wrote a short ‘news report’ to accompany the painting.
