‘In the Present’ is one of a series of semi abstract paintings inspired by my family history. Photographs of the women I have in my family at present have been used as a starting point to create artwork which connects with, and pays tribute to, the women in our past. Linking the past to the present influenced my choice of colour and composition. I love to paint in layers so watercolour, inks and acrylics have been laid down and texture added with lines and marks.

Buyers of paintings in this exhibition will be contacted directly by the artist to arrange delivery. In all cases, the paintings will be unframed unless the buyer is from the same area and arranges framing and pickup directly from the artist. All delivery and framing costs must be agreed with the artist and are not the responsibility of the society.
