Cambridge Open Studios is a flourishing community of artists, craftspeople and designer-makers working throughout Cambridgeshire. Of those artists, five of our members are taking part this year. For obvious reasons, the usual casual wander through participating studios is not possible this year. Our members’ displays are varied, from art in trees and windows to online galleries and social media. And a few limited number visits in real life.

This is what each artist is doing

Astrig Akseralian

Astrig will be displaying each weekend at her “usual” Cambridge Open Studios place – her sister’s house/windows at

15 High Street
Great Shelford
CB22 5EH

Look out for this banner up on the railings to mark the house.

People are invited to step around the railings for closer inspection of the art up in the windows.

As the panes are small, Astrig will be displaying small unframed pieces which are available to buy. Details will be displayed in the window giving her email address and mobile phone number for sales enquiries.

All of her other art will be on her social media channels and her website

Helen Clarke

Helen’s work will be on display in her studio:

Clare House and Summer House Studio
1, High Street
Great Wilbraham
Cambridge CB21 5JD

There will be an Open Studios banner over the drive entrance and a flag over the front door.

The Summer House Studio is down the drive and to the right into the garden.

Helen’s watercolour paintings, which sometimes include acrylic ink and pen will feature landscapes, flowers, still life and hare and fish portraits.

Janet Hathiramani

Janet has set up a window display at her address – To find her studio, have a look at the Histon Map

She says it’s a bit of a treasure hunt. We are guessing her location is marked by a flower painting.

Lesley Anne Rumble

Each weekend of July, there will be copies of Lesley’s paintings hanging in her front garden trees at:

137 Queen Edith’s Way
Cambridge CB1 8PT

The artworks on display will change weekly. On the final weekend, 25th/26th July, weather permitting, there will be a selection of paintings in the garden to browse through. Hand sanitizer and wipes will be in place, and only two people will have access at a time, for everyone’s health and safety.
